SPECTACULAR DEBUT FOR FLYBOARD

It was in Doha that took place the first Flyboard World Cup of the history... And WHAT A START!

It was an amazing show, the freestyle competition went perfectly and the french Stephane Prayas ended victorious after an extremely tight race.

October 8th, first day: It was a big day of qualifications where each competitor had 1'30'' to realize a freestyle with moves of his choice. They realized come impressive figures in terms of risk and originality.

October 9th, second day: It is in groups of two that the pilots would compete in the 1/16 finals. After the second qualifying pressure has clearly appeared... 16 pilots were qualified for the 1/8 finals and hierarchy began to settle as some athletes start to pulled out of the game as the french  Stephane Prayas, the American Trey Andrews and the Spanish Lindsay McQueen, very impressive with the dives and the Canadian Brody Wells with his cousin Stephanie, who was the only female in competition and got qualified for the 1/4 finals.

40 degrees, fatigue. pressure and 8 pilots have to give everything to get to the final...

AND THE FINALISTS ARE... PRAYAS, BERGLUND, ANDREWS and SATAPORN

The final was short for the last two since the american and thai were not used to the power of MZR.
The victory was played between BERGLUND and PRAYAS and at the end the french took the last word by offering a demonstration perfectly controlled with high-level figures and specially the only double back flip in the  competition.

I let you some pictures so you can have an overview of the show:
